SR 128 seven-day closure to start Aug. 9

Hamilton County (Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014) – Culvert replacement work will require a seven-day closure of State Route 128, beginning Saturday, Aug. 9

Work will take place on SR 128 north of Morgan Road, between US 50 and I-74 with access to local traffic maintained.  The closure will be in place from 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 until 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15.

The detour for northbound SR 128 traffic will be Kilby Road to north on I-275 to east on I-74, back to SR 128.  Southbound traffic will use the same detour in reverse. The detour is an additional three miles or approximately five minutes.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure and detour.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
