SR 128/Columbia Road bridge work scheduled to begin March 8

SR 128/Columbia Road bridge work scheduled to begin March 8

Butler County (Friday, Feb. 24, 2017) – Bridge work on the State Route 128/Columbia Road bridge over the Great Miami River requires lane restrictions beginning next week.

Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, there will be various lane closures in both directions of the Columbia Road bridge. Two lanes in each direction will be closed at a time, while crews work on pavement, sidewalk and railing repair, and substructure work under the bridge. Traffic will be maintained and these restrictions will be in effect through October, 2017.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the work zone and lane restrictions. All work is dependent upon weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
