SR 32 improvements focus of July 17 open house

CLERMONT COUNTY (Friday, July 11, 2014) – The public is invited to an open house focusing on roadway and access improvements to that portion of State Route 32 located between Eastgate Blvd. and Olive Branch-Stonelick Road.

The open house will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at the Union Township Civic Center, 4350 Aicholtz Road, Cincinnati.

The purpose of the meeting is to obtain public input on proposed improvement alternatives. The public is invited to visit any time during open house hours to view exhibits and ask questions; no formal presentation will be given. Personnel from ODOT, the Clermont County Transportation Improvement District (CCTID), and TranSystems will be available to discuss project alternatives, listen to the public's comments, and answer questions.

This section of improvements to SR 32 (referred to as Segment IVa) is a core project of the Eastern Corridor Program. The improvements being planned will work in conjunction with the construction now underway at SR 32 interchanges with I-275 and Eastgate Boulevard and other related projects to better support increasing traffic levels in the area; reduce congestion and traffic delays; improve access to and from local roadways, businesses, shopping and residential areas, and to improve overall travel safety for motorists.

This is the third public meeting held about this project. It is an opportunity to provide input on the final alternatives before a preferred alternative is selected. Written comments may be submitted at the meeting, or by email to amschneider@transystems.com; by fax at 513.621.2901, or by mail to the SR 32 Study Team, 4555 Lake Forest Dr., Suite 540, Cincinnati, OH 45242.

Additionally, comments may be left on ODOT’s website:http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D08/Pages/PublicInvolvementMeetingSchedule.aspx

Additional information about the project can be found on the Eastern Corridor Program website.
