Detour notice for SR 503 closure
 
Preble County (Monday, April 25, 2016) – Culvert replacement requires closing State Route 503, 2.4 miles north of SR 744 in West Elkton, beginning Monday, May 2.
 
Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, May 2, SR 503 will be closed between SR 725 in Preble County and SR 744 in Butler County until approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 13. Northbound SR 503 traffic will be detoured to east on SR 744 to north on SR 122 to west on SR 725; southbound SR 503 traffic will use the reverse detour.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
