SR 726 detour begins Aug. 29

 
State Route 726 closure scheduled for culvert replacement
 
Preble County (Monday, Aug. 22, 2016) – State Route 726 will be closed for culvert replacement just north of Orphans Road next week.
 
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, SR 726 will be closed until approximately 3:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2.
 
The detour will use U.S. 127 and U.S. 40 and is an additional 2.1 miles or approximately three minutes.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
