State Route 123 Reopen to Traffic

S.R. 123 Reopens Following Slide Repair

Warren County (Wednesday, November 27, 2019) - Major construction for a slide repair on state Route 123 in Warren County has been completed, and the route is now open to traffic.
Crews from Eclipse Company, LLC have been working to repair the slide on SR 123, where the route has been closed just south of Todd Fork since last spring following a massive landslide.
The project included regrading the slope, embankment and drainage work, as well as replacing the existing culvert, installing guardrail and repairing the pavement, and construction began in mid-October after an emergency contract was awarded.
Although the majority of work has been completed, contractors will be returning to the site in the spring to complete minor finishing work. A schedule to do so has yet to be determined, but the route will remain open, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.
