State Route 129 Resurfacing and Bridge Repair project to start

Monday, March 25

Butler County (Monday, March 18, 2019) - The State Route 129 resurfacing and bridge repair project is scheduled to start Monday, March 28.
Work includes resurfacing SR 129 from the city of Hamilton corporate limit to Cincinnati-Dayton Road, guardrail and pavement marking upgrades, and bridge repairs at the SR 4 Bypass and SR 747 overpasses.
One lane of traffic will be closed during the resurfacing and pavement repair work, weeknights from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., with all lanes open to traffic during the day. Overpass work requires single-night ramp closures at SR 4 Bypass and SR 747 with dates to be determined.
The $5.8 million contract was awarded to the John R. Jurgensen Company and is expected to be complete by October, 2019.
Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
