State Route 4 traffic shift scheduled
Greene County (Monday, May 14, 2018) - State Route 4 traffic will be
shifted to a contraflow pattern at the Bath Road intersection beginning at 7
a.m. Saturday, May 19.
A contraflow pattern is
a lane in which traffic flows in the opposite direction (against the flow) of
the surrounding lanes.
North SR 4 traffic will
be reduced from two lanes to one lane, entering the contraflow pattern north of
Bath Road. Two-way traffic will be maintained on the south side of SR 4 until
south of Bath Road.
Traffic entering south
SR 4 from Bath Road will be restricted to right turns only.
This contraflow pattern
will remain in place until approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 19.
Arrow boards and/or
signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
restrictions. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
