SR 503 to close for culvert work
Preble County (Thursday, May 21, 2015) – Culvert work
will require a two-week closure of State Route 503, beginning Monday, June 1.
The work, scheduled for completion June
12, will take place just north of Lexington Road. The detour for northbound SR
503 traffic is west on U.S. 35, north on U.S. 127, east on Interstate 70 to SR 503. Southbound traffic will use the
reverse route.
Arrow boards
and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers
as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their
speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
