State Route 729 full closure scheduled for two
culvert replacements
Clinton County (Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018) - Replacing two culverts requires
closing State Route 729 between U.S. 22 in Clinton County and SR 435 in Fayette
County beginning Monday, Sept. 10.
SR 729 will first be closed south of Stivers Road in Wilson
Township. Once that culvert work is complete, SR 729 will be closed north of
Roshon Road in Richland Township. SR 729 will be open to traffic approximately
3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.
Local traffic will be maintained but through traffic will be
prohibited. The detour uses U.S. 22, SR 72, Interstate 71 and SR 435 in Fayette
County.
Arrow boards and/or
signs are in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zones and full
closures. All work is contingent upon the weather.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
