TONIGHT

Interstate 71 lane and ramp closures scheduled for bridge work

Hamilton County (Thursday, Aug. 11 2016) – Bridge and pavement work require a single lane closure on southbound Interstate 71 at Fort Washington Way tonight.

Beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11 until 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, the left lane of southbound I-71 that allows travel on I-71/I-75 south across the Brent Spence Bridge will be closed beginning at the Lytle Tunnel. This is to allow for work on the I-71/I-75 approach ramp to the Brent Spence Bridge.

The ramp from Third Street to southbound I-71 will also be closed.

One lane of southbound I-71 will remain open from the tunnel to northbound I-75 and westbound U.S. 50.

Expect delays. Traffic should use SR 562 to I-75 or I-471 to I-275 as detours.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and full closures. All work is weather dependent.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.

For ongoing traffic, construction and weather-related information, please check www.OHGO.com.
