Thru the Valley noise barrier public meeting June 21
 
Hamilton County  (Wednesday, June 13, 2012)  –  The Ohio Department of Transportation District 8, in conjunction with ME Companies, will host an open housestyle Public Meeting on Thursday, June 21  to gather public input to determine a desire for noise barriers along the I75 Thru the Valley project.
 
The public meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lockland High School cafeteria, 249 W. Forrer St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45215. The public can park in the fenced parking lot at the corner of W.
Forrer Street and Cross Street and enter through Door 13. The public may visit any time between 5 and 7 p.m. to view exhibits and ask questions. No formal presentations will be made.
 
The purpose of this meeting is to present the results of the I75 Thru the Valley noise barrier analysis,
and to solicit comments, opinions and preferences of affected residents in regard to the potential
construction of six (6) new noise barriers located along I75 from the northern end of the I75 Lockland
Split to GlendaleMilford Road. Engineering plans and mapping, which detail the location of the
potential noise barriers, along with additional project information will be on display at the meeting for review and comment.
 
Representatives from ODOT and ME Companies (the project's engineering consultant) will be available to discuss the results of the study and the potential noise barriers.
