  I-75 Thru the Valley Public Hearing May 13

 Hamilton County (April 28, 2010) - The Ohio Department of Transportation in conjunction with M•E Companies Inc. and the Federal Highway Administration will host a public hearing on Thursday, May 13, 2010 for the I-75 Thru the Valley project.

The I-75 Thru the Valley project involves the widening and reconstruction of I-75 from Paddock Road to I-275. The hearing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Sharonville Convention Center located at 11355 Chester Road, Sharonville, Ohio 45246. This public hearing will be held in an open-house format with a brief ten (10) minute presentation beginning at 5:00 p.m., immediately followed by a public verbal comment period. For those wishing to give a public verbal comment, Pre-Registration is REQUIRED at the hearing before 4:45 p.m. Respondents should also expect to limit their statements to one (1) minute each. Otherwise, please feel free to stop by any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

 

The purpose of the public hearing is to inform the public about the project, and to provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions and comment on the project. Maps, drawings, and other project information, including the Environmental Assessment (EA), will be available for public inspection. Tentative schedules for right-of-way acquisition and construction will be available. Tentative schedules for the start of right-of way-acquisition and of construction are dependent upon federal approvals. ODOT staff and engineering consultants will be available to answer questions.

Individual comments will be received either written or verbally (by a recorder) at the hearing, and will become part of the official public hearing record. After the hearing, written comments can be submitted until June 12, 2010, to Keith Smith, District 8 Environmental Engineer at ODOT District 8, 505 South S.R. 741, Lebanon, OH 45036 or on ODOT’s website at http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D08/Pages/CommentsonPublicMeetings.aspx. The comments will be considered when making future project related decisions.
