Traffic switch for southbound I-75 scheduled
A traffic shift to move the two left lanes of southbound I-75 onto northbound
I-75 by way of two contraflow lanes is
scheduled for Friday, May 8.
The crossover to move the two lanes of southbound traffic into the
contraflow lanes on northbound I-75 will be located just south of the I-75/I-74
interchange; the crossover to move the two lanes of southbound contraflow
traffic from northbound I-75 to the southbound side will be located just north
of the Harrison Avenue exit. The right lane of southbound I-75 and the lane
from eastbound I-74 will remain on the southbound side of I-75. In addition,
the two contraflow lanes of
southbound I-75 located on the northbound side will not have access to the Hopple Street exit or the Harrison
Avenue exit. To exit at Hopple Street and Harrison Avenue, southbound I-75
traffic will need to stay in the right lane of I-75.
Work to
accommodate this this traffic switch will require the following traffic
restrictions:
·
Single
lane closure on southbound I-75, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, May 8, followed by
a double lane closure at 10 p.m., with all lanes reopened to traffic by 9 a.m.
Saturday, May 9
·
Closure
of the exit from southbound I-75 to Hopple, beginning at 10 p.m. and reopening
by 5 a.m. Saturday, May 9.
