Traffic
shift slated for Central Parkway
HAMILTON COUNTY (Friday, Oct.
31, 2014)
– As part of the I-75 at Hopple interchange construction, a traffic switch will
be implemented on Central Parkway next week.
Work
to implement the shift of traffic to the east side of Central Parkway will
begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 with lane closures on Central Parkway,
followed by full closure of Central Parkway between Bates Avenue and the Connector Road, and the
Connector Road from Hopple Street to Central Parkway at 11 p.m.; one White
Caste driveway will be maintained during the closure of Central Parkway. All
roads will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7. Work is weather
dependent.
Following
the traffic shift, one
lane in each direction will be maintained on Central Parkway from south of the
Connector Road to north of Bates Avenue. A left turn lane from southbound
Central parkway to the Connector Road will also be maintained. Two lanes will
be maintained on the Connector Road. Access to the City Building at 1115 Bates
Avenue and White Castle will be maintained. Bates Avenue will close from
Central Parkway to just east of the maintenance door to the City Building Nov.
