U.S. 127 full closure scheduled for railroad work

U.S. 127 full closure scheduled for railroad work
 
Butler County (Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014) – Railroad work will require closing all lanes of U.S. 127 north of the village of New Miami at 1 p.m. today. 
 
The closure will last approximately 10 to 12 hours as crews repair a broken rail.
 
The detour for northbound U.S. 127 traffic will be east on Hamilton-Trenton Road to north on Wayne Madison Road to west on State Route 73.  Southbound U.S. 127 traffic will be east on SR 73 to south on SR 4 to east on SR 129.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs are in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure and detour. 
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
