U.S. 35 and SR 380 bridge work starts April 18

Greene County (Friday, April 8, 2016) – Construction on the U.S. 35 bridge over Glady Run will require lane closures on U.S. 35 beginning Monday, April 18.

Lane closures will be in place on east and westbound U.S. 35 just east of Lower Bellbrook Road over the Little Miami Scenic Bikeway in Xenia from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each weekday until April 29.

Beginning Sunday, May 1, there will be a lane closure at this location, using concrete barrier wall, for 90 days.

Once complete on the U.S. 35 bridge, the project will relocate to SR 380 south of Ledbetter Road and over U.S. 35 in Xenia. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times except for a full closure scheduled in July. Traffic will be detoured using SR 73 and U.S. 42.

The $2 million project is expected to be completed in October 2016.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
