U.S. Route 50 traffic switch Lawrenceburg Road
weekend closure scheduled
Hamilton County (Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017) - Drainage upgrades, including replacing
seven culverts, and pavement work require the following traffic pattern switch
and weekend road closure beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Beginning Tuesday,
Sept. 5, the eastbound lanes of U.S. 50, between Lawrenceburg Road and
State Line Road, will be shifted to the outside lane of westbound U.S. 50. This
will allow crews to work on the eastbound lanes. The traffic pattern will
remain in effect until Tuesday, Oct. 31.
In addition,
Lawrenceburg Road will be closed Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24. The
detour uses Kilby Road to I-275.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
restrictions.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
