U.S. 68 temporary signal begins Monday, June 20

U.S. 68 temporary signal starts Monday, June 20

Greene County (Friday, June 17, 2016) – Bridge deck replacement requires a temporary signal on U.S. 68 over Painters Creek, just north of the Greene/Clinton line, beginning Monday, June 20.

The temporary signal will be used to maintain one lane of two-way traffic on U.S. 68 for 120 days.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane restrictions. All work is dependent upon weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
