U.S. Route 127 full closures

County (Thursday,
Aug. 14, 2014) – Railroad
maintenance will require two full closures on U.S. 127 beginning next week.
From 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18 until 4 p.m. Friday,
Aug. 22, the railroad located on U.S. 127, 1.5 miles south of the west leg of
SR 73 will be closed. The detour for northbound U.S. 127 traffic will be north
on SR 503 to west on SR 744, back to U.S. 127. Southbound U.S. 127 traffic will
use the same detour in reverse.
From 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25 until 4 p.m. Friday,
Aug. 29, the railroad located on U.S. 127 between Trenton and Jacksonburg roads
will be closed. The detour for northbound U.S. 127 traffic will be north on SR
4 to west on SR 73, back to U.S. 127. Southbound U.S. 127 traffic will use the
same detour in reverse.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert
motorists of the upcoming full closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction
workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce
their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
