U.S. Route 42 lane closures scheduled
Hamilton County (Friday, Nov. 3, 2017) - Bridge work requires nightly
lane closures on U.S. 42 beginning tonight.
Various lane closures
on north and southbound U.S. 42 at the approach to the Clay Wade Bailey
bridge from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. each night Friday, Nov. 3 through Monday, Nov.
6. Lane closures will be in place on U.S. 42 between West Third and West Second
streets.
Traffic will be
maintained with the use of steel plates, and all lanes will be open during the
day. All work is contingent upon weather.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
restrictions.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
