U.S.
Route 68 lane reduction scheduled for bridge work
Greene County (Wednesday,
July 6, 2016) – Bridge maintenance requires various lane
closures on U.S. 68 beginning next week.
Beginning at 7 a.m.
Monday, July 11, U.S. 68 will be reduced to one lane just north of U.S. 35 and
south of Columbus Street for approximately 30 days.
Traffic will be
maintained with a traffic signal.
Arrow boards and/or signs
will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane reduction. All work is
dependent upon weather.
To help ensure the safety
of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should
remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing
through the work zone.
