U.S. Route 42 closure scheduled for culvert replacement

Warren County (Tuesday, July 5, 2016) – Replacement of two culverts just north of Old State Route 122 and south of Pekin Road will start next week.

Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, July 11, U.S. Route 42 will be closed between Old SR 122 and Pekin Road until approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 19.

The detour will use SR 122, SR 48 and SR 73.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure. All work is dependent upon weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
