US 52 closures set for culvert work

U.S. 52 to be closed one week for culvert replacements

Clermont County (Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012) – Culvert work will require closing U.S. 52 next week.

The closure, set to begin at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, will be from just west of Smith Landing Road to Bartlow Road, with access to Bartlow Road remaining open from east U.S. 52.  The road will reopen to traffic by 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31.

The detour for eastbound U.S. 52 traffic will be north on State Route 133 to east on SR 756 into Brown County, to south on SR 505, back to U.S. 52.  Westbound traffic will use the same detour in reverse.  The detour is 17 miles or approximately 20 minutes.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and road closure.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
