U.S. Route 68 closure scheduled for culvert
replacement
Clinton
County (Friday, Sept. 8) - U.S.
Route 68 will be closed 0.7 miles south of State Route 28
beginning Wednesday, Sept. 13.
U.S. 68 will be closed
north of Stewart Road and south of Hales Branch Road between the hours of 7
a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22.
The detour uses State
Route 28, S. Clark St., E. Main St., and SR 123.
Arrow boards and/ or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
restrictions.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
