I-71 resurfacing from Lytle Tunnel to just south of I-275

I-71 (PID 82975) resurfacing/bridge work both northbound and southbound from north of the Lytle Tunnel to the overhead railroad bridge north of SR 562/Norwood Lateral (approximately 5 miles). It excludes paving of I-71 in the vicinity of the MLK interchange which is part of the I-71/MLK new intersection project.
 
Current Status: various lane closures on I-71 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. between Ridge Road and Victory Parkway.
  • Began: April 2017 – Estimated completion: September 2018.
  • Construction Cost: $22.1 million.

 

I-71 (PID 91826) resurfacing/bridge work from overhead railroad bridge north of SR 562/Norwood Lateral to SR 126/Ronald Regan Cross County Highway (approximately 5.5 miles). The project also will widen I-71 to three continuous through lanes near the SR 562/Norwood Lateral interchange and removes the northbound Ridge Road exit. In addition this project will add a northbound I-71 exit to Kennedy Avenue. (PID 94741)

  • Begins: spring 2018 – Estimated completion: late fall 2018.
  • Construction Cost: $33.2 million.

 

I-71 (PID 84491) resurfacing from SR 126/Ronald Regan Cross County Highway to just south of I-275 at the Deerfield Road bridge (approximately 3 miles).

  • Begins: August 2017 – Estimated completion: August 2018.
  • Construction Cost: $4.2 million.
