Resurfacing Gets Under Way On S.R. 125 In Adams County
Chillicothe (Tuesday, September 15, 2015) – A nearly 8.5-mile resurfacing project has begun on state Route 125 in Adams County, as contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9 mobilized crews this week.
Crews from the Shelly Company are paving S.R. 125 from the Adams-Brown County line to the intersection with S.R. 41 in the village of West Union. The project also includes rehabilitating two bridges, located near Township Road 80184 (Vinson Road) and County Road 70 (Lloyd Road), as well as upgrading guardrail.
Throughout the project, S.R. 125 will be reduced to one lane during daytime, working hours, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers and temporary traffic signals.
The Shelly Company of Thornville, Ohio was awarded a contract for approximately $1.48 million in August, and the project is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall.
