Adams-41 Closing For Culvert Replacement Projects
Back-to-back one-day closures next week
Chillicothe (Tuesday, August 06, 2013) - State Route 41 in Adams County will be closed during daytime, business hours next week as part of a series of culvert replacement projects along the route.
On Monday, August 12, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Adams County Highway Maintenance Facility will close the route from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to replace a deteriorated pipe at the 0.65-mile marker. The project site is situated between the Adams-Brown County line and Township Road 3 (Buttermilk Run).
Subsequent daytime closures will then be in effect Tuesday, August 13, through Friday, August 16, at the route’s 1.7, 2.07 and 4.99-mile markers, respectively, where crews will be replacing four additional culverts between Buttermilk Run and Ripley Road and between Roush Hill Road and Clayton Road.
The closures are scheduled to go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m. each day, and the route will be open to evening and overnight travel. While the route is closed, traffic will be detoured by way of U.S. Route 52 and S.R. 136.
