Adams-41 Culvert Replacement Project Extended Route subject to daytime closure next week
Chillicothe (Friday, August 16, 2013) – Although a series of culvert replacement projects along state Route 41 in Adams County is wrapping up this week, the route will be subject to two, single-day closures again next week.
Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Adams County Highway Maintenance Facility have been working to replace five deteriorated culverts between the Adams-Brown County line and the route’s junction with S.R. 136 at Bentonville. However, due to the scope of the work and the need for additional equipment, the final project to replace a pair of culverts at the 4.99-mile marker has been postponed until next week.
Daytime closures will be in effect Tuesday, August 20, and Wednesday, August 21, between County Road 20 (Roush Hill Road) and County Road 2 (Clayton Road). The closures are scheduled to go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. and continue until 6:00 p.m. each day, and motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. Route 52 and S.R. 136.
The route will be open to evening and overnight travel, as well as travel throughout the weekend.
