Bridge Replacement Project Slated For Ross County Road 205
Three Locks To Be Closed At Indian Creek Bridge
Chillicothe (Friday, February 26, 2016) – Site preparations for a bridge replacement project will begin next week on County Road 205 (Three Locks Road) in Ross County.
Working in conjunction with the Ross County Engineer’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation has awarded a contract to the Righter Company to replace the existing 48-foot concrete arch with a 90-foot clear span structure. The bridge is situated over Indian Creek and located at the 9.78-mile marker, just south of Township Road 1272 (Sugar Tree Road).
Construction is set to begin Monday, February 29, and Three Locks Road will be closed to traffic for up to 120 days. While it is closed, traffic will be detoured via T.R. 194 (Toad Hollow Road) and C.R. 600 (Massieville Road) to Cauble Lane and U.S. Route 23.
The Righter Company was awarded a contract in the amount of $877,518 to replace the bridge, and the project is anticipated to be completed in mid-summer.
