Bridge Replacement Scheduled To Begin On S.R. 335
Route to be restricted to one lane
Chillicothe (Friday, June 7, 2013) – A dual bridge replacement project is slated to begin next week on state Route 335 in Pike County, and the route will be reduced to one lane of traffic.
Weather permitting, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation are scheduled to begin construction on Tuesday, June 11, to replace two bridges over Wilson Run. The project site is located just north of Omega, between County Road 51 (River Road) and C.R. 39 (Higby Road) and adjacent to the Norfolk-Southern Railroad line.
Crews from DGM, Incorporated will reduce the route to one, 11-foot lane, and temporary traffic signals will be used to maintain traffic.
DGM of Beaver, Ohio, was awarded a contract for approximately $1,124,583 to replace both structures, and the anticipated completion for all work is early fall.
