Bridge Work On Scioto-52 Set This Week
Chillicothe (Wednesday, March 18, 2015) – Although a major rehabilitation project on U.S. Route 52 in Scioto County has been completed, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will return to the site this week to finish paving work.
On Thursday, March 19, and possibly Friday, March 20, crews from the Complete General Construction Company will be grooving the surfaces of the bridge decks on U.S. 52, between the S.R. 239 interchange and the Portsmouth corporation limit, as well as on various interchange ramps to and from U.S. 52.
Throughout both days U.S. 52 and the ramps will be subject to intermittent, daytime restrictions. While mainline U.S. 52 will be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction, traffic on the various, select ramps at the interchanges will be maintained by flaggers when crews are working on the ramps’ bridge decks.
