Bridge Work Scheduled To Begin On Shoemaker Road
Chillicothe (Friday, August 7, 2015) – Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Pike County Engineer’s Office will undertake a culvert replacement project on Township Road 224 (Shoemaker Road) in Pike County, with restrictions going into effect next week.
Crews from BUDS, Incorporated will be replacing twin steel culverts with a concrete box culvert and improving a section of the roadway at the 0.18-mile marker, just north of state Route 124 in Mifflin Township.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, August 10, and throughout the project, traffic will be maintained on both temporary and existing pavement by flaggers, as well as in one lane with the use of temporary traffic signals.
BUDS, Inc. of Nashport, Ohio, was awarded a contract in the amount of $457,933 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall.
