Bridge Replacement Project Wrapping Up On Scioto-52
Chillicothe - With some minor finishing work left to complete, a bridge replacement project on U.S. Route 52 in Scioto County is wrapping up, and contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation have lifted lane restrictions.
Crews from DGM Incorporated have been working to replace a bridge at the 1.25-mile marker on U.S. Route 52, between the Adams County line and County Road 97 (Lower Twin Road). Lane restrictions were lifted today, November 18, and traffic was returned to two lanes.
Funded with stimulus monies, this is one of 12 projects taking place in ODOT District 9 as part of the federal government’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). DGM Incorporated of Beaver, Ohio, was awarded a contract in June for approximately $723,300 to complete the project.
Although some work is left to be completed, lane restrictions should be minimal, and traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers as needed.
