Brown-353 Culvert Project Rescheduled
S.R. 353, U.S. 68 Restrictions Continue This Week
Chillicothe (Tuesday, April 11, 2017) – Due to weather-related impacts this week, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility have rescheduled a culvert replacement project on S.R. 353.
S.R. 353 was scheduled for closure between Township Road 227 (Beechwood Road) and T.R. 24 (W. Fork Road) today, April 11, for a single-day culvert replacement project; however, inclement weather postponed the project, and it has now been rescheduled for Friday, April 14.
Crews are also on track to close the route Wednesday, April 12, to replace one of the three culverts slated for replacement this week. During periods of closure, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 62 and S.R. 125.
In addition to the work on S.R. 353, U.S. Route 68 will be reduced to one lane between Township Road 32 (Sunshine Road) and C.R. 81 (Wahlsburg East Road) on Thursday, April 13, for a single-day culvert replacement project.
The restriction will be in place from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and throughout the day, traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers. Motorists may encounter some intermittent periods of delay while crews are at work.
