Brown-353 Culvert Replacement Postponed
Chillicothe (Monday, March 06, 2017) – Due to inclement weather, a culvert replacement project on state Route 353 in Brown County has been postponed.
Crews from ODOT’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility were scheduled to undertake a single-day culvert replacement project on S.R. 353 today, March 6, between T.R. 24 (W. Fork Road) and T.R. 30 (West Road). However, due to intermittent rain showers and the forecast, the project has been postponed, and a date to undertake the culvert replacement on S.R. 353 has yet to be determined.
Weather permitting, a culvert replacement on U.S. 62 is still on schedule for Thursday, March 9, and the route will be reduced to one lane between Township Road 203 (Stivers Road) and the Highland County line from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Throughout the day, traffic will be maintained by flaggers; however, motorists may encounter some intermittent periods of delay while crews are at work.
For more information on additional lane and road closures caused by construction, accidents, flooding or other related traffic events throughout the state, visit ODOT's web site at www.Ohgo.com
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
