Brown-41 Slide Repair Back On Tap
Route to be closed next week
Chillicothe (Tuesday, July 5, 2016) – A slide repair project on state Route 41 in Brown County, which was originally planned last month, has been rescheduled, and the project is now planned to get under way next week.
On Monday, July 11, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility will close S.R. 41 at the 3.89-mile marker, approximately one-half mile south of the Adams County line. The maintenance staff will be repairing a slide by installing a series of drilled shafts along the shoulder of the route between Township Road 44 (Ellis Run Road) and T.R. 248 (Meffords Run Road).
The closure will go into effect at approximately at 8 a.m. Monday, and it will remain in effect until 4 p.m. Friday, July 15, or until all work is completed. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 52 and S.R. 136 in Adams County.
