Brown-763 Retaining Wall Project Ready To Begin
Closure Set Next Week
Chillicothe (Thursday, June 30, 2011) – Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will start construction next week for a stabilization project on state Route 763 in Brown County.
On Tuesday, July 5, crews from the Alan Stone Company will close the route between the 0.80 and the 1.15-mile markers to construct a retaining wall and stabilize the earth where erosion has occurred along the route’s shoulder at Big Threemile Creek.
Throughout construction, S.R. 763 will be closed between S.R. 41 and County Road 31 (Martin Hill Road), and traffic will be detoured by way of S.R. 41, U.S. 52, Township Road 307 (Flaugher Hill Road) and Martin Hill Road.
The Alan Stone Company was awarded a contract in the amount of $429,993, and the scheduled completion date is September 15.
