Brown-763 Reopens Following Erosion Repair Project
Chillicothe (Friday, April 15, 2011) – A stabilization and pavement repair project on state Route 763 in Brown County has been completed, and the route is now open to traffic.
Crews from ODOT’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility have been working between Township Road 251 (Stringtown Road) and County Road 31 (Martin Hill Road), where lane restrictions have been in place since flooding in late February undermined the pavement and caused portions of the shoulder to give way alongside a tributary to Big Threemile Creek.
ODOT’s forces closed the route on Monday, April 4, in order to reinforce the bank and stabilize the shoulder by drilling, lagging, installing guardrail and backfilling the area alongside the route. Their efforts were completed today, April 15, and they reopened the route to two lanes of traffic.
