Brown County Crews Prep For Culvert Replacement Projects
Chillicothe (Monday, February 27, 2017) – Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County Highway Maintenance Facility will undertake a pair of culvert replacement projects on two separate routes in the coming week.
On Thursday, March 2, U.S. Route 62 will be reduced to one lane between Township Road 203 (Stivers Road) and the Highland County line for a single-day culvert replacement project.
Crews will be working from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to replace the deteriorated pipe, and throughout the day traffic will be maintained in one lane by flaggers. Motorists may encounter some intermittent periods of delay while crews are at work.
Then on Monday, March 6, crews will close S.R. 353 at the 3.44-mile marker to replace a deteriorated culvert that is situated between T.R. 24 (W. Fork Road) and T.R. 30 (West Road). The single-day closure will be in effect from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 125 and U.S. 62.
