Comment Period Available For Adams-41 Bridge Replacement

Chillicothe (Wednesday, August 27, 2014) As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed project in Adams County.

ADA-41-21.14 (PID: 91601) The proposed project is to replace the structure over Curvehill Cove Run on state Route 41 in Oliver Township. The existing structure is a single-span concrete slab on reinforced concrete substructure, and it will be replaced with a pre-cast reinforced concrete box culvert.  The project will require approximately 0.092 acres of permanent right of way, which is located within pasture fields and along the stream channel. However, no homes or businesses will be removed by the project, and no trees that have habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat will be removed for the project.

Additional information regarding the project, including a complete description, maps and plans sheets, is available online at http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D09/Pages/Public-Involvement-Process.aspx. Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.
