Chillicothe (Tuesday, September 22, 2015) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following project on state Route 772 in Pike and Ross counties.
PIK-772-0.98/ROS-772-2.49 (PID: 95342) – It is proposed to rehabilitate the structure over a tributary of Left Fork Camp Creek on S.R. 772 in Pike County and to replace the culvert over a tributary of Pee Pee Creek on S.R. 772 in Ross County.
In Pike County, the project site is situated near Township Road 311 (Vanaka Bank Road) in Camp Creek Township, and it will require approximately 0.181 acres of permanent right of way. In Ross County, the project site is located just south of T.R. 154 (Camelin Hill Road) in Huntington Township. No homes or businesses will be removed at either project site; however, one tree with habitat for the federally endangered Indiana bat or the federally threatened northern long eared bat will be removed at each location.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by October 7, 2015, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
