Comment Period Available For S.R.73/Prospect Road Project
HIG-73-8.34/CR5-14.29 (PID: 92789) - The proposed project consists of the improvement of 4.76 miles of County Road 5 (Prospect Road) in Highland County by widening the existing pavement, correcting existing horizontal and vertical deficiencies and drainage improvements. The project also includes improving 0.51 miles of state Route 73 to increase sight distance at the intersection with Prospect Road and relocating the intersection of Prospect Road and C.R. 75 (Bennington Road).
The project will impact three streams and require the removal of approximately 21 trees that have habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat. In addition, it will require approximately 18.38 acres of permanent right of way and 3.20 acres of temporary right of way.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by November 6, 2014, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
