Comment Period Open For Brown-125 Bridge
(Wednesday, January 31, 2018) – As part of the Ohio Department
of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s
Environmental Office is seeking public input for a bridge replacement project
on state Route 125 in Brown County.
(PID: 93796) – It is proposed to replace
the structure located at the 7.10-mile marker, near County Road 18 (Eden Road)
and just west of Georgetown in Lewis Township. The project consists of
replacing the existing five-span, continuous riveted girder bridge with a
three-span, continuous welded steel bridge.
The project will require
approximately 2.16 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or
businesses will be removed as a result of the project. A contract is
scheduled to be awarded in the spring of 2019, and although a closure of the
route will not be necessary, short-term closures and lane restrictions may be
in effect during construction.
Written comments should
