Comment Period Open For Upcoming Project
Chillicothe (Monday, October 22, 2012) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed projects.
Adams County – ADA-41-17.19 – The purpose of the project is to correct a scour problem and a roadway embankment failure using dump rock in the scour hole and a concrete cut-off wall and concrete apron at the outlet of the culvert. The project is located in a rural area of Tiffin Township in Adams County over an unnamed tributary of the Lick Fork. No trees or bushes will be removed as part of the project, and no homes or businesses will be removed. As the project is being constructed on state-owned right of way, no new right of way will be required, and the project will be constructed fully by ODOT county forces using state funds.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by November 5, 2012, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
