Comment Period Open For Adams County Bridge Replacements
Chillicothe (Monday, April 6, 2015) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following project to replace structures on Township Road 110 (McClanahan Road), County Road 2 (Eckmansville Road) and C.R. 3 (Island Creek Road) in Adams County.
ADA-TR110-0.40 (PID: 97558) – The project site is situated at the 0.40-mile marker over Hannah Run on McClanahan Road, immediately east of state Route 136 in Liberty Township. The project will require approximately 0.111 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed, and no trees that have habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat will be removed.
ADA-CR2-9.60 (PID: 97558) – The project site is situated at the 9.60-mile marker over Hills Fork Eckmansville Road, north of S.R. 125 in Liberty Township. No new right of way will be needed for the project, and no trees that have habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat will be removed.
ADA-CR3-29.15 (PID: 97558) – The project site is situated at the 29.15-mile marker over Island Creek on Island Creek Road, north of Bentonville Road. The project will require approximately 0.087 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed. Two trees that have habitat for the federally endangered Indiana Bat will be removed.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by April 20, 2015, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
