Comment Period Open For Brown-125 Project
Chillicothe (Tuesday, September 13, 2016) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on a roadway embankment and culvert replacement project in Brown County.
BRO-125-7.00 (PID: 101774) – It is proposed to repair a landslide and the embankment along a section of state Route 125 in Lewis Township in Brown County. In addition to repair of the roadway embankment, the project includes the installation of a new box culvert under Township Road 75 (Winfield Drive), replacement of the existing storm water system, and the replacement of a 72-inch concrete pipe culvert with a precast, reinforced concrete culvert.
The project site is located between Winfield Drive and T.R. 579 (Old Infirmary Road), west of Georgetown, and the project will not require any new right of way. In addition, no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of the project.
Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Written comments should be submitted by September 27, 2016, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to:
