Comment Period Open For Brown-52 Culvert
Chillicothe – As part
of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department,
the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a bridge
replacement project on U.S. Route 52 in Brown County.
BRO-52-15.20 - The proposed
project is to replace the structure at the 15.20-mile
marker, between C.R. 1008 (Elk River Road) and T.R. 232 (Logan Gap Road) in
Union Township. Construction includes the replacement of the 15” corrugated
metal pipe with a 24” concrete culvert, a well rock channel protection at the
inlet and outlet. The project will require 0.05 acres of permanent right of
way and 0.035 acres of temporary right of way; however, no homes or
businesses will be removed as a result of construction.
Currently, a contract is anticipated to be awarded in the
summer of 2020. Additional information, including a complete description,

Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local
residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural
