Comment Period Open For Brown County Culvert Projects
Chillicothe (Monday, October 3, 2016) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on a series of projects in Brown County, where it is proposed to rehabilitate culverts by paving the bottom of the culverts with concrete. These structures include the following locations:
BRO-32-14.83/15.47 (PID: 95424) – Situated over a tributary of West Fork Ohio Brush Creek in Eagle Township, the structures are located between C.R. 82 (Five Points-Fincastle Road) and T.R. 171 (Freeh Road) and between T.R. 171 (Freeh Road) and C.R. 24 (Tri-County Highway), respectively.
BRO-68-24.58 (PID: 95424) – The structure is situated over a tributary of White Oak Creek and located at the 24.58-mile marker, between T.R. 35 (Stony Hollow Road) and T.R. 607 (Hauke Road) in Scott Township.
BRO-221-3.81 (PID: 95424) – The structure is situated over Cochran Run and located at the 3.81-mile marker, between C.R. 67 (Old A&P Road) and T.R. 592 (Hunter Road) in Lewis Township
No new right of way will be required, and no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of these projects. A contract is anticipated to be awarded in the spring of 2017, and roadway closures may be necessary to complete construction.
