Comment Period Open For C.R. 66 Widening Project
Chillicothe – As part
of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department,
the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a culvert
replacement project on County Road 66 in Pike County.
PIK-CR66-3.95 (99204) - The
project consists of the improvement of 0.87 miles of C.R. 66 (Germany Road)
by widening the existing pavement and constructing three drilled shaft
retaining walls to correct landslides.
The project will require approximately 6.601 acres of permanent
right of way and 0.554 acres of temporary right of way, which is located
along mowed residential lawns, forested areas and pasture field. Currently, a
contract is anticipated to be awarded in the summer of 2019, and a closure of
the route will be required during construction.
